A KaiOS arcade game

T9 Wizard

Type fast. Cast spells. Survive the onslaught.

A typing-action game built for the humble flip phone. Use your T9 keypad to type incoming words, unleash magic, and see how long you can survive.

No gaming PC. No touchscreen combos. Just you, your keypad, and your typing skills.

Example: on a T9 keypad, the word wizard is typed as 9 4 9 2 7 3.

A panicked wizard clutches a glowing T9 keypad spellbook as word blocks reading Wizard, Spell, Fireball, Magic and Danger rain down among slime monsters.
How to play

Three steps to wizardry

Blocks carrying words fall toward you. Type each word on the keypad before it lands.

Gameplay: green word blocks labelled how, wage, last and guru fall toward the player, with guru locked on and half typed.
STEP 01

Words incoming

Every enemy is a block carrying a word, falling toward the grey block at the bottom of the screen: you. Destroy it before it gets there.

STEP 02

Work your T9 magic

Press each letter's number key once, so wizard is 949273. Your first key locks onto a matching word. Finish its code to blast it.

Once you're locked on, wrong keys are simply ignored, so stay calm and keep typing.

  • 3LIVES
  • 5WORLDS
  • 50WAVES
  • 5BOSSES
STEP 03

Survive the onslaught

Let a word reach you and you lose a life. Clear ten waves to face the world's boss, then type whole sentences to chip it down. Words get longer every world.

Flawless words grow your score multiplier. Grab rising powerups for an extra life, half speed, short words or a screen wipe.

Your flip phone is the controller. Your typing is the weapon.

Seasons

Two seasons. One tiny keypad. A whole lot of words.

Each season brings its own leaderboard, so every season is a fresh shot at the top spot.

Season 1, World 3: a crowd of gold and orange word blocks such as prayer, museum, gossip and chamber. Season 1, World 5 boss: a long pink boss block with a falling sentence from Moby Dick, partly typed. Season 1 win screen: YOU WIN, all 5 worlds cleared, score 76633.

The flip-phone factor

Built for the buttons. Not the touchscreen.

T9 Wizard brings fast-paced typing gameplay to KaiOS flip phones. Instead of tapping a screen or reaching for a full keyboard, you play with the physical keypad already in your hand.

  • Physical T9 controls

Every word is typed with the 2–9 keys. The whole game is designed around the keypad.

  • Typing under pressure

React fast as words descend. The words get longer and the screen gets busier world after world.

  • Made for KaiOS

A game built for the flip-phone ecosystem and published on the KaiStore.
